NEW DEACONS

Last Sunday the following men, who have agreed to serve as deacons, were presented to the congregation:

John Bartelotte - Missions

Wayne Barbarick – Local Outreach

Don Gardner – Building/Grounds

Kevin Hoff - Youth

These fine Christian men will serve along with our other Deacons,

Howard Dunn – Finance

Steve Kliest – Education

Carl Vallier, who also serves as a Deacon, and his family will be moving to Ventura sometime this spring. Carl is continuing as Deacon until the family makes this move.

God has blessed our congregation with men who are willing to take on the responsibility. Pray for these men as they do the Lord’s work.

Deacons are to be men worthy of of respect, not indulging in much wine, and not pursuing dishonest gain. They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience. Thy must first be tested; and then if there is nothing against them, let them serve as deacons.

In the same way, their wives are to be women worthy of respect, not malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in everything. A deacon must be the husband of but one wife and must manage his children and his household well. Those who have served well gain an excellent standing and great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus

Tammy Martin is hosting two Korean exchange students, Jun Soek and Kevin. Jun Soek is in the 7th grade and Kevin is in the 5th grade. They will be here until the 3rd of February.
